ABOUT COACH BEN

Before and above anything else, I am a lifelong student of movement. I’ve spent the last decade studying, training, and helping others learn to use their bodies better.

I’ve trained in many disciplines, but my first sporting love is gymnastics. I started in high school and, through sheer love for the sport, continued training throughout my college years. I also coached and judged gymnastics, giving me a unique eye for technical detail that I now apply to all of my clients.

Along the way, I found my second sporting love: volleyball. If you play, you probably know how quickly it can become an obsession. I drew on my athletic background and knowledge of training to rapidly accelerate my progress, while developing an even deeper appreciation for the importance of strength, power, conditioning, and movement quality.

The through-line across my thousands of hours of study, years of coaching, and tens of thousands of reps has been a simple realization: enjoying the process is one of the best predictors of long-term success.

The most effective training program isn't necessarily the one that looks best on paper. It's the one that makes you want to show up, work hard, and come back tomorrow.

That's the philosophy I bring to coaching. I want my clients to get stronger and fitter, but I also want them to genuinely enjoy what they're doing—to look forward to training, take pride in what their bodies can do, and become curious about what they might be capable of next.

Because ultimately, fitness isn't about reaching some final form.

It's about discovering that there is always another level.
